How to save windows 2012 perfmon data

If you are using perfmon tool in windows, you may sometime want to save the data for future analysis. To accomplish this you need to follow the following steps:
1.   Launch the perfmon tool.
2.  Add the counters that are required
3.  Right-click the Performance Monitor display pane, point to New, and click Data Collector Set. The Create New Data Collector Set Wizard starts.
4.   Enter a name for your Data Collector Set and click Next, The Root Directory will contain the log file. [best to move it to D drive], and click finish.
5.  To start the Data Collector Set immediately (and begin saving data to the location specified), select Start this data collector set now.
6.  To view the saved information, right click on performance pane and click on Properties. Select source and select log file option and browse folder where the file is saved.
7.   By default the counters are monitored automatically and will continue to be monitored until you stop the process
8.   You can export your data to Excel so you can better see what your performance data represents:
9.   Right click the graph and select Save Data As.
Change the Save as type to Text file (comma delimited)(*.csv).
Give the file a name and save it where you want to store it.

Note: The Performance Log Users group must be assigned the “Log on as a batch user” user right. By default, this should be already set
